Sunt unele cărți care te cuceresc încă din primele pagini, iar „Parte din lumea ta” este exact genul acela de poveste pentru mine. Mi-a plăcut enorm și, fără nicio exagerare, este una dintre cele mai frumoase cărți de dragoste pe care le-am citit în ultima perioadă. Abby Jimenez reușește din nou să îmbine romantismul, umorul și emoția într-un mod atât de natural, încât este imposibil să nu te atașezi de personaje. După această carte, pot spune cu siguranță că a devenit una dintre autoarele mele preferate și abia aștept să descopăr toate poveștile pe care le-a scris.
Povestea îi urmărește pe Alexis Montgomery și Daniel Grant, doi oameni care, la prima vedere, nu ar fi avut niciun motiv să ajungă împreună. Alexis este medic de urgență într-un spital renumit din Minneapolis și provine dintr-o familie foarte bogată, unde imaginea, succesul și reputația sunt mai importante decât propria fericire. Deși familia își dorește ca ea să urmeze tradiția și să devină un chirurg celebru, Alexis simte că drumul pe care și l-au imaginat ceilalți pentru ea nu este neapărat și cel pe care îl dorește.
De cealaltă parte este Daniel Grant, un bărbat cu zece ani mai tânăr decât Alexis, tâmplar, primar al unui orășel mic și manager al pensiunii familiei. Este genul de om care poartă blugi, iubește viața simplă și îi pune mereu pe cei din jur pe primul loc. A crescut într-o familie complet diferită de cea a lui Alexis, cu multe lipsuri și responsabilități încă din copilărie, dar a rămas un om bun, calm și incredibil de atent la nevoile celor din jur.
Diferențele dintre ei sunt evidente din primul moment. Ea este obișnuită cu restaurante elegante, haine de firmă și un stil de viață sofisticat, în timp ce el se simte cel mai bine într-un oraș unde toată lumea se salută pe stradă și se cunoaște pe nume. Rațional, relația lor nu ar trebui să funcționeze. Vin din lumi complet diferite, au priorități diferite și par să își dorească lucruri incompatibile. Totuși, întâlnirea lor schimbă totul și îi face să își pună întrebări despre viața pe care o trăiesc și despre cea pe care și-o doresc cu adevărat.
Unul dintre lucrurile care m-au impresionat cel mai mult a fost felul în care Abby Jimenez și-a construit personajele. Nu sunt perfecte și nici nu încearcă să fie. Fiecare ascunde nesiguranțe, frici și răni pe care încearcă să le mascheze în spatele unei imagini atent construite. Alexis pare puternică și sigură pe ea, însă în realitate poartă povara unor așteptări uriașe din partea familiei și încearcă permanent să demonstreze că este suficient de bună. Daniel, în ciuda optimismului și a zâmbetului aproape permanent, are și el propriile temeri și propriile răni din trecut. Tocmai aceste vulnerabilități îi fac să pară atât de reali și atât de ușor de înțeles.
Mi-au plăcut enorm interacțiunile dintre personaje. Dialogurile sunt naturale, amuzante și pline de tandrețe, iar chimia dintre Alexis și Daniel se simte de la primele întâlniri. Relația lor evoluează firesc, fără grabă, iar fiecare conversație, fiecare gest și fiecare moment petrecut împreună contribuie la apropierea lor. În același timp, și personajele secundare au un rol important și dau senzația unei comunități vii, în care fiecare om are propria poveste.
Cred că atmosfera din orășelul în care locuiește Daniel a fost unul dintre elementele mele preferate. Ador poveștile plasate în comunități mici, unde toată lumea se cunoaște, se implică în viața celorlalți și există acel sentiment de familie extinsă. Este unul dintre trope-urile mele preferate în cărțile romance și cred că Abby Jimenez l-a construit minunat. Orașul are un farmec aparte și mi-a dat senzația că este un loc în care mi-ar plăcea să ajung măcar pentru câteva zile.
Dincolo de povestea de iubire, romanul vorbește și despre curajul de a alege viața pe care o vrei cu adevărat, chiar dacă asta înseamnă să dezamăgești oamenii care au avut alte planuri pentru tine. Este o carte despre familie, despre vindecare, despre acceptare și despre faptul că iubirea nu ține cont de diferențe sociale, de vârstă sau de statut. Uneori, persoana care pare complet nepotrivită pentru tine ajunge să fie exact cea care îți schimbă viața în cel mai frumos mod.
Am citit această carte cu zâmbetul pe buze, dar au existat și multe momente care m-au emoționat. Abby Jimenez are un talent aparte de a alterna scenele amuzante cu cele sensibile, fără ca povestea să devină melodramatică. Totul se simte autentic și sincer, iar la final ai impresia că te desparți de niște oameni pe care ai ajuns să îi cunoști cu adevărat.
Pentru mine, „Parte din lumea ta” este genul de lectură perfectă pentru vacanță, pentru o după-amiază liniștită sau pentru orice moment în care simți nevoia să iei o pauză de la agitația de zi cu zi. Este o poveste care te face să râzi, să te emoționezi și să evadezi pentru câteva ore într-o lume caldă și primitoare.
Închei această carte cu un singur regret: că s-a terminat prea repede. Abia aștept să citesc și celelalte volume din serie și să mai petrec puțin timp în universul creat de Abby Jimenez, alături de personajele ei memorabile și de atmosfera aceea idilică de oraș mic de care m-am îndrăgostit iremediabil. Dacă iubiți poveștile romantice cu personaje bine conturate, emoție autentică și mult suflet, atunci „Parte din lumea ta” merită cu siguranță un loc pe lista voastră de lecturi.

There are some books that capture your heart from the very first pages, and „Part of Your World” is exactly that kind of story for me. I absolutely loved it and, without exaggeration, it is one of the most beautiful romance novels I’ve read in a long time. Abby Jimenez once again blends romance, humor, and emotion so effortlessly that it’s impossible not to become attached to the characters. After reading this book, I can confidently say that she has become one of my favorite authors, and I can’t wait to discover all the other stories she’s written.
The story follows Alexis Montgomery and Daniel Grant, two people who, at first glance, seem to have no reason to end up together. Alexis is an ER doctor at a prestigious hospital in Minneapolis and comes from an extremely wealthy family, where image, success, and reputation matter more than personal happiness. Although her family expects her to follow tradition and become a renowned surgeon, Alexis realizes that the path others have envisioned for her isn’t necessarily the one she wants for herself.
On the other hand, there’s Daniel Grant, a man ten years younger than Alexis. He’s a carpenter, the mayor of a small town, and the manager of his family’s inn. He’s the kind of person who lives in jeans, appreciates a simple life, and always puts the people around him first. He grew up in a family completely different from Alexis’s, facing financial hardships and responsibilities from an early age, yet he has remained kind, patient, and incredibly thoughtful toward everyone around him.
The differences between them are obvious from the very beginning. Alexis is used to elegant restaurants, designer clothes, and a sophisticated lifestyle, while Daniel feels most at home in a town where everyone knows each other by name and greets one another on the street. Logically, their relationship shouldn’t work. They come from completely different worlds, have different priorities, and seem to want incompatible things. Yet their meeting changes everything, forcing them to question the lives they’re living and the lives they truly want.
One of the things that impressed me the most was the way Abby Jimenez crafted her characters. They aren’t perfect, nor do they try to be. Each of them hides insecurities, fears, and emotional wounds behind carefully constructed facades. Alexis appears confident and strong, but in reality she carries the weight of her family’s enormous expectations and constantly feels the need to prove she’s good enough. Daniel, despite his optimism and ever-present smile, has his own fears and scars from the past. These vulnerabilities are exactly what make them feel so real and relatable.
I absolutely loved the interactions between the characters. The dialogue is natural, witty, and full of tenderness, and the chemistry between Alexis and Daniel is undeniable from their very first encounters. Their relationship develops at a believable pace, without feeling rushed, and every conversation, every gesture, and every moment they share brings them closer together. At the same time, the supporting characters play an important role, making the town feel like a vibrant community where everyone has a story of their own.
I think the atmosphere of Daniel’s small town was one of my favorite aspects of the novel. I adore stories set in close-knit communities where everyone knows one another, people genuinely care about each other, and there’s a strong sense of extended family. It’s one of my favorite romance tropes, and I think Abby Jimenez brought it to life beautifully. The town has a charm of its own, and it made me wish I could spend at least a few days there myself.
Beyond the romance, the novel is also about having the courage to choose the life you truly want, even if that means disappointing the people who had different plans for you. It’s a story about family, healing, acceptance, and the idea that love doesn’t care about social status, age, or background. Sometimes the person who seems completely wrong for you turns out to be exactly the one who changes your life in the most beautiful way.
I read this book with a smile on my face, but there were also plenty of moments that deeply moved me. Abby Jimenez has a remarkable talent for balancing lighthearted, funny scenes with deeply emotional ones without ever allowing the story to become melodramatic. Everything feels authentic and heartfelt, and by the end, it feels like you’re saying goodbye to people you’ve truly come to know.
For me, „Part of Your World” is the perfect vacation read, the ideal companion for a quiet afternoon, or simply the kind of book you pick up when you need a break from the busyness of everyday life. It’s a story that will make you laugh, make you emotional, and allow you to escape for a few hours into a warm, welcoming world.
I finished this book with only one regret: that it ended far too soon. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series and spend more time in the world Abby Jimenez has created, alongside her unforgettable characters and that idyllic small-town atmosphere I completely fell in love with. If you enjoy romance novels with well-developed characters, genuine emotion, and a whole lot of heart, then „Part of Your World” definitely deserves a place on your reading list.
