„Sacrificiul” de Henrik Fexeus este un thriller care, pentru mine, a fost o experiență de lectură captivantă și bine construită. De la primele pagini am simțit că intru într-o poveste plină de mister, în care nimic nu este întâmplător, iar fiecare detaliu contează. Este genul de carte care te face să fii atent și să îți pui întrebări, pentru că adevărul nu este niciodată oferit direct.
David Lund, personajul principal, mi s-a părut foarte bine conturat. Este genul de personaj care nu se dezvăluie complet, iar asta îl face cu atât mai interesant. Pe parcursul cărții, am avut constant impresia că mai are ceva de ascuns, că există o latură a lui care încă nu a ieșit la suprafață. Tocmai acest mister din jurul lui mi-a stârnit curiozitatea și m-a făcut să mă implic mai mult în poveste. Este inteligent, calculat, dar și marcat de trecut, iar toate aceste aspecte îl transformă într-un personaj complex și credibil.
Acțiunea se desfășoară într-un ritm bine echilibrat. Mi-a plăcut foarte mult modul în care autorul construiește tensiunea și misterul: informațiile sunt oferite treptat, în doze mici, astfel încât să nu dezvăluie prea mult, dar nici să te frustreze. Fiecare capitol aduce un indiciu nou, o piesă din puzzle, care te face să vrei să mergi mai departe. Am apreciat acest stil pentru că m-a ținut conectată la poveste pe tot parcursul lecturii și nu am simțit niciun moment că aș vrea să iau o pauză.
Misterul este unul dintre punctele forte ale cărții. Este construit cu grijă, pe mai multe niveluri, iar unele lucruri devin clare abia spre final. Mi-a plăcut faptul că nu este previzibil și că reușește să te surprindă fără să pară forțat. Pe măsură ce descoperi tot mai multe, îți dai seama cât de bine au fost așezate piesele încă de la început.
În ceea ce privește impresia generală, pot spune că mi-a plăcut destul de mult această carte. A fost o lectură interesantă și dinamică, care m-a ținut prinsă în poveste de la început până la final. Finalul mi s-a părut destul de satisfăcător, mai ales pentru că oferă anumite răspunsuri, dar în același timp lasă loc pentru continuare. M-a făcut să devin curioasă în legătură cu ce urmează în serie, ceea ce consider că este un mare plus.
Este o carte pe care o recomand dacă îți plac thrillerele bine construite, cu personaje misterioase și o acțiune care te ține în suspans până la ultima pagină.

From the very first pages, I felt like I was stepping into a story full of mystery, where nothing is accidental and every detail matters. It’s the kind of book that makes you stay alert and ask questions, because the truth is never given directly.
David Lund, the main character, felt very well developed to me. He is the kind of character who doesn’t fully reveal himself, which makes him all the more interesting. Throughout the book, I constantly had the impression that he was hiding something, that there was a side of him that had yet to surface. It was precisely this mystery surrounding him that sparked my curiosity and made me more engaged in the story. He is intelligent, calculated, but also shaped by his past, and all these aspects turn him into a complex and believable character.
The action unfolds at a well-balanced pace. I really liked the way the author builds tension and mystery: information is revealed gradually, in small doses, so that it doesn’t give too much away, but also doesn’t become frustrating. Each chapter brings a new clue, a piece of the puzzle, making you want to keep going. I appreciated this style because it kept me connected to the story throughout the entire reading experience, and I never felt like taking a break.
The mystery is one of the book’s strong points. It is carefully constructed on multiple levels, and some things only become clear toward the end. I liked the fact that it isn’t predictable and that it manages to surprise you without feeling forced. As you discover more and more, you realize how well everything was set up from the very beginning.
As for my overall impression, I can say that I really enjoyed this book. It was an engaging and dynamic read that kept me hooked from start to finish. I found the ending quite satisfying, especially because it provides certain answers, while still leaving room for continuation. It made me curious about what comes next in the series, which I consider a big plus.
It’s a book I would recommend if you enjoy well-crafted thrillers with mysterious characters and a plot that keeps you in suspense until the very last page.
