„Cenușa și regele blestemat de stele” de Carissa Broadbent este continuarea intensă a poveștii începute în „Șarpele și aripile nopții”, iar pentru mine a fost o lectură care m-a captivat complet. Este genul de carte din care începi să citești „doar câteva pagini”, iar apoi îți dai seama că au trecut ore întregi și încă nu vrei să o lași din mână. Povestea este plină de tensiune, emoții și momente dramatice, iar fiecare capitol te face să vrei să afli imediat ce urmează.
După evenimentele dureroase din primul volum, Oraya și Raihn trebuie să înfrunte consecințele unor alegeri grele și ale unor trădări care au lăsat răni adânci. Relația dintre ei este complicată, fragilă și încărcată de emoții contradictorii. Există multă neîncredere, dar și o atracție puternică ce nu poate fi ignorată. Mi-a plăcut foarte mult felul în care autoarea arată această luptă interioară a personajelor, dorința de a se apropia din nou, dar și teama de a nu fi răniți încă o dată.
Oraya este un personaj care m-a impresionat mult în acest volum. Ea nu mai este doar fata care încearcă să supraviețuiască într-o lume a vampirilor, ci încearcă să devină regina de care poporul ei are nevoie. Drumul ei nu este deloc ușor. Este prinsă între responsabilități uriașe, intrigile politice ale regatului și propriile ei temeri. Am simțit că evoluează mult pe parcursul poveștii. Trebuie să învețe să fie puternică, să ia decizii dificile și să arate că poate conduce, chiar și atunci când se îndoiește de ea însăși.
Raihn, pe de altă parte, are propriile lupte interioare. Deși a ajuns pe tron, nu se simte întotdeauna sigur că merită acest rol. Se confruntă cu nesiguranțe, cu presiunea de a fi un rege puternic și cu dorința de a-i demonstra Orayei că sentimentele lui pentru ea sunt reale. Mi-a plăcut mult să văd această latură vulnerabilă a lui. Nu este doar un lider dur sau un războinic puternic, ci și un personaj care încearcă să-și găsească locul și să repare ceea ce a fost distrus între ei.
Unul dintre lucrurile care mi-au plăcut cel mai mult a fost evoluția relației dintre Oraya și Raihn. Cei doi trebuie să învețe din nou să aibă încredere unul în celălalt, iar acest proces nu este deloc simplu. Există multă tensiune, multe emoții nespuse și momente în care pare că distanța dintre ei este prea mare. În același timp, atracția dintre ei rămâne foarte puternică, iar fiecare scenă în care apar împreună este încărcată de emoție.
Acțiunea este alertă și plină de momente intense. Intrigile politice, luptele pentru putere și pericolele care pândesc din toate direcțiile fac ca povestea să fie mereu dinamică. Personajele trebuie să facă față trădărilor, alianțelor fragile și presiunii uriașe de a conduce un regat aflat în pragul haosului. Toate acestea sunt scrise într-un mod foarte captivant, iar stilul autoarei te face să simți fiecare moment de tensiune.
Pentru mine, această carte a fost o continuare foarte puternică și emoționantă. Mi-a plăcut enorm să urmăresc evoluția personajelor, să văd cum încearcă să își revină după trădări și greșeli și cum luptă să devină versiuni mai bune ale lor. Este o poveste despre putere, încredere, iubire și sacrificiu, dar și despre cât de greu este uneori să conduci și să faci alegerile corecte.
„Cenușa și regele blestemat de stele” mi-a lăsat sentimentul că am trăit alături de personaje fiecare moment de teamă, speranță și pasiune. Este o carte intensă, plină de emoție și acțiune, care m-a făcut să mă atașez și mai mult de Oraya și Raihn și să le țin pumnii până la ultima pagină.

“The Ashes and the Star-Cursed King” by Carissa Broadbent is the intense continuation of the story that began in “The Serpent and the Wings of Night,” and for me it was a reading experience that completely captivated me. It’s the kind of book where you start reading “just a few pages,” and then suddenly realize that hours have passed and you still don’t want to put it down. The story is full of tension, emotion, and dramatic moments, and every chapter makes you want to immediately find out what happens next.
After the painful events of the first book, Oraya and Raihn must face the consequences of difficult choices and betrayals that have left deep wounds. The relationship between them is complicated, fragile, and filled with conflicting emotions. There is a lot of mistrust, but also a powerful attraction that cannot be ignored. I really liked the way the author shows this inner struggle of the characters—the desire to grow close again, but also the fear of being hurt once more.
Oraya is a character who impressed me a lot in this volume. She is no longer just the girl trying to survive in a world of vampires, but someone who is trying to become the queen her people need. Her path is not easy at all. She is caught between enormous responsibilities, the political intrigues of the kingdom, and her own fears. I felt that she grows a lot throughout the story. She must learn to be strong, to make difficult decisions, and to prove that she can lead—even when she doubts herself.
Raihn, on the other hand, has his own inner struggles. Even though he has reached the throne, he does not always feel certain that he deserves this role. He faces insecurities, the pressure of being a strong king, and the desire to prove to Oraya that his feelings for her are real. I really enjoyed seeing this vulnerable side of him. He is not just a ruthless leader or a powerful warrior, but also a character trying to find his place and repair what was broken between them.
One of the things I liked the most was the evolution of the relationship between Oraya and Raihn. The two must learn to trust each other again, and this process is far from simple. There is a lot of tension, many unspoken emotions, and moments when it seems that the distance between them is too great. At the same time, the attraction between them remains very strong, and every scene in which they appear together is charged with emotion.
The action is fast-paced and full of intense moments. Political intrigues, struggles for power, and dangers lurking from every direction keep the story constantly dynamic. The characters must face betrayals, fragile alliances, and the enormous pressure of leading a kingdom on the brink of chaos. All of this is written in a very captivating way, and the author’s style makes you feel every moment of tension.
For me, this book was a very powerful and emotional continuation. I loved following the evolution of the characters, seeing how they try to recover after betrayals and mistakes, and how they fight to become better versions of themselves. It is a story about power, trust, love, and sacrifice—but also about how difficult it can sometimes be to lead and make the right choices.
“The Ashes and the Star-Cursed King” left me with the feeling that I experienced every moment of fear, hope, and passion alongside the characters. It is an intense book, full of emotion and action, which made me grow even more attached to Oraya and Raihn and root for them until the very last page.
