„Escala” de TL Swan este o poveste despre atracție, coincidențe și acel tip de dragoste care apare exact atunci când te aștepți mai puțin. O carte care te face să visezi, să zâmbești și să trăiești emoția unui „ce-ar fi fost dacă”, transformat într-o poveste de neuitat.
Totul începe cu un zbor spre New York. Emily, o femeie naturală, simpatică și puțin impulsivă, are norocul de a fi despăgubită de compania aeriană și de a călători la clasa întâi. Acolo îl cunoaște pe Jameson Miles — un bărbat rafinat, elegant, cu ochi albaștri și o inteligență care te dezarmează din primele replici. Între ei se creează imediat o chimie puternică: glume, priviri lungi, o conversație ușoară care curge firesc, ca și cum s-ar cunoaște de-o viață.

Mi-a plăcut mult dinamica dintre personaje. Emily este sinceră, haioasă, dar și curajoasă, în timp ce Jameson este misterios, autoritar, însă cu un farmec greu de ignorat. Relația lor este o combinație perfectă între pasiune și provocare, între dorință și autocontrol. Am simțit emoția, am zâmbit la replicile lor ironice și am trăit fiecare moment de tensiune.
„Escala” este genul de carte care te face să te pierzi în poveste și să trăiești alături de personaje. Are umor, suspans și o doză bună de romantism, fără să cadă în clișee. Mi-a plăcut stilul lui TL Swan – scriitura este fluidă, dialogurile sunt vii, iar emoțiile par reale. Totuși, uneori am simțit că povestea se repetă puțin sau că unele scene se prelungesc mai mult decât era nevoie, de aceea o consider o lectură de patru stele.
Este o carte perfectă pentru o zi rece, când vrei să te refugiezi într-o poveste pasională și caldă. „Escala” te face să crezi că o întâlnire întâmplătoare poate schimba totul — și că unele povești nu se termină niciodată după o singură noapte.

I really enjoyed the dynamic between the characters. Emily is honest, funny, yet brave, while Jameson is mysterious, authoritative, but undeniably charming. Their relationship is the perfect mix of passion and challenge, desire and restraint. I felt the emotion, smiled at their witty banter, and lived through every tense moment.
“The Stopover” is the kind of book that draws you in completely, making you live alongside the characters. It has humor, tension, and just the right amount of romance without falling into clichés. I liked TL Swan’s writing style — it’s smooth, the dialogue is lively, and the emotions feel real. However, at times, I felt the story repeated itself a bit or dragged on longer than necessary, which is why I’d rate it four stars.
It’s the perfect book for a cold day when you want to escape into a passionate and heartwarming story. „The Stopover” makes you believe that a chance encounter can change everything — and that some stories don’t end after just one night.
