Diminețile lor sunt mereu aceleași: un sărut cald, drumul spre liceul Caseham și sentimentul că viața curge liniștit. Dar liniștea asta este doar o aparență.

Ce mi-a plăcut la „Profesoara” este modul în care McFadden știe să își dozeze suspansul. Fiecare capitol are acel final care te obligă să mergi mai departe, iar atmosfera de neliniște crește cu fiecare pagină. Personajele nu sunt simple caractere de „bun” sau „rău”, ci au nuanțe și motivații complexe. Recunosc, unele acțiuni mi s-au părut exagerate, dar tocmai asta a menținut elementul de imprevizibilitate.
În esență, „Profesoara” este o poveste despre secrete, trădare și consecințele manipulării. Este acel tip de carte care te face să te întrebi constant cine este cu adevărat în control și unde se va sfârși totul.
În concluzie, a fost lectură captivantă, plină de tensiune și răsturnări de situație. I-am acordat 4 stele, pentru că, deși nu este lipsită de imperfecțiuni, a reușit să mă țină trează până târziu în noapte și să îmi rămână în minte mult după ce am închis ultima pagină.

What I liked about „The Teacher” is the way McFadden knows how to pace the suspense. Each chapter ends in such a way that you’re compelled to keep reading, and the feeling of unease grows with every page. The characters are not simple “good” or “bad” archetypes—they have complex shades and motivations. I admit, some actions felt a bit over the top, but that’s exactly what kept the element of unpredictability alive.
At its core, „The Teacher” is a story about secrets, betrayal, and the consequences of manipulation. It’s the kind of book that makes you constantly wonder who is really in control and where it will all end.
In conclusion, it was an engaging read, full of tension and plot twists. I gave it 4 stars because, although it’s not without its flaws, it managed to keep me up late into the night and stayed with me long after I turned the last page.
