„Să prinzi o lună căzătoare” de Sarah A. Parker este genul de carte care te scoate complet din realitate și te obligă să te pierzi într-o lume nouă, fascinantă și periculoasă. A fost o lectură intensă, dar recunosc că începutul nu a fost ușor. Primele 100 de pagini mi s-au părut greoaie, pentru că autoarea construiește o lume fantasy extrem de complexă, cu reguli proprii, magie unică și o mulțime de elemente noi care trebuie înțelese. Însă a meritat fiecare pagină.
Personajul principal, Raeve, este o asasină dură și pricepută, loială grupului de rebeli Fíur du Ath. Este genul de eroină care luptă cu tot ce are, dar care ascunde și o durere adâncă în suflet. Mi-a plăcut cât de bine este conturată – nu este doar puternică, ci și vulnerabilă, prinsă între ordinele pe care trebuie să le urmeze și propriile alegeri. Viața ei se schimbă complet când un vânător de recompense îi dă lumea peste cap și ajunge capturată de Ghilda Nobililor, un grup de fae periculoși și influenți. De acolo începe adevărata aventură.
Pe cealaltă parte a poveștii este Kaan Vaegor, un rege care și-a câștigat tronul cu sânge – după ce a pierdut femeia pe care o iubea, a decapitat un alt rege și a preluat coroana. Dar dincolo de imaginea rece și crudă a unui conducător fae, Kaan este frânt pe dinăuntru, bântuit de pierdere și de o durere care nu se mai stinge. Întâlnirea lui cu Raeve în închisoarea de mare securitate schimbă totul. Între ei se naște o legătură tensionată, periculoasă și plină de dorință. Povestea lor de dragoste este de tip slow burn – se construiește lent, dar este intensă și sfâșietoare.
Lumea creată de Sarah A. Parker este vie, misterioasă și extrem de bine detaliată. Totul – de la creaturi și magie până la istoria și politica acestei lumi – este construit cu atenție și profunzime. De multe ori am simțit că sunt acolo, trăind alături de personaje, simțind pericolul din umbră sau emoția unui moment de liniște.
Cartea nu este doar un fantasy romantic, ci și o poveste despre pierdere, durere, putere și supraviețuire. Răsturnările de situație sunt neașteptate, iar finalul te lasă cu inima strânsă și cu dorința de a citi continuarea cât mai repede.
Pentru mine, „Să prinzi o lună căzătoare” a fost o lectură care a început greu, dar care a crescut într-un mod spectaculos. Am ajuns să iubesc personajele, să fiu fascinată de lumea lor și să sufăr alături de ele. Este o carte pe care o recomand cu toată inima fanilor romantasy-ului bine scris, intens și cu adevărat memorabil.

„When the Moon Hatched” by Sarah A. Parker is the kind of book that pulls you completely out of reality and forces you to lose yourself in a new, fascinating, and dangerous world. It was an intense read, but I admit the beginning wasn’t easy. The first 100 pages felt a bit heavy because the author builds an extremely complex fantasy world, with its own rules, unique magic, and a lot of new elements that need to be understood. But every page was worth it.
The main character, Raeve, is a tough and skilled assassin, loyal to the rebel group Fíur du Ath. She’s the type of heroine who fights with everything she has, but who also hides a deep pain within her soul. I loved how well she was developed—she’s not just strong, but also vulnerable, caught between the orders she must follow and the choices she wants to make. Her life changes completely when a bounty hunter turns her world upside down and she ends up captured by the Gilded Guild, a group of dangerous and powerful fae. That’s when the real adventure begins.
On the other side of the story is Kaan Vaegor, a king who claimed his throne through blood—after losing the woman he loved, he beheaded another king and took the crown. But beneath the cold and cruel image of a fae ruler, Kaan is broken inside, haunted by loss and a pain that never fades. His encounter with Raeve in a high-security prison changes everything. Between them, a tense, dangerous, and desire-filled bond begins to form. Their love story is a slow burn—it builds gradually, but it’s intense and heartbreaking.
The world Sarah A. Parker has created is vivid, mysterious, and incredibly detailed. Everything—from the creatures and magic to the history and politics of this realm—is crafted with care and depth. Many times I felt like I was right there, living alongside the characters, feeling the danger lurking in the shadows or the emotion of a quiet moment.
This book is not just a romantic fantasy—it’s also a story about loss, pain, power, and survival. The twists are unexpected, and the ending leaves you with a tight heart and a strong urge to pick up the sequel as soon as possible.
For me, „When the Moon Hatched” was a read that started off slowly but grew into something spectacular. I came to love the characters, became fascinated by their world, and suffered alongside them. It’s a book I wholeheartedly recommend to fans of well-written, intense, and truly memorable romantasy.
