Pe de altă parte, o poveste paralelă, cu doi frați crescuți într-o atmosferă apăsătoare, sub controlul unui unchi autoritar, într-un conac rece, unde iubirea și manipularea se confundă. Relația lor este bolnavă, tensionată și greu de privit.
Inițial, poate părea că cele două povești nu au legătură. Dar pe măsură ce paginile se adună, firul narativ devine din ce în ce mai vizibil. Pas cu pas, legăturile dintre personaje ies la suprafață, iar adevărul este mai greu de digerat decât orice minciună.
Povestea lui Caitlin te face să oscilezi între empatie și îndoială. Este o soră rănită, vinovată, confuză. Dar și posibil geloasă? Poate chiar periculoasă? Tensiunea psihologică crește cu fiecare gest al Oliviei – prea perfectă, prea misterioasă, prea… altfel. Cine spune adevărul? Cine minte? Pe cine ar trebui să credem?
Cartea nu aduce neapărat o idee complet originală, dar o ambalează excelent: cu scene puternice, cu emoții autentice și cu o scriitură care apasă exact unde trebuie. Deși finalul poate părea puțin abrupt pentru unii, impactul rămâne memorabil. O poveste despre vină, traumă, neîncredere și legături de familie fragilizate de timp și suferință.
„Fiica greșită” a fost alegerea lunii în clubul thriller și pe bună dreptate! Un roman antrenant, cu o copertă atrăgătoare și o poveste care te prinde de la primul capitol și nu-ți mai dă drumul. Îl recomand cu drag tuturor celor care iubesc suspansul psihologic, poveștile despre identitate, secrete și întrebarea esențială: Ce ai face dacă ai crede în fiica greșită?
