„Twisted Hate” de Ana Huang este genul de carte care îți dă fiori de la prima pagină și nu te lasă să te oprești din citit până nu o termini. A fost o lectură intensă, sexy, amuzantă și extrem de emoționantă, cu două personaje care par să se urască, dar care ard de dorință unul pentru celălalt.
Povestea îi urmărește pe Josh Chen și Jules Ambrose, două personaje pe care le cunoșteam deja din volumele anterioare ale seriei „Twisted”. Josh este fratele Avei (eroina din „Twisted Love”), un tip inteligent, încrezător și foarte protector cu cei dragi. Este rezident la medicină și pare mereu a avea o replică acidă pregătită. Pe de altă parte, Jules este cea mai bună prietenă a Avei – o femeie independentă, ambițioasă, care nu se teme să spună ce gândește și care ascunde un trecut greu. Între ei, ura este vizibilă de la început, iar fiecare întâlnire este o luptă de replici și priviri tăioase.
Dar ura se transformă treptat într-o atracție imposibil de ignorat. Când cei doi ajung să facă un pact de „dușmani cu beneficii”, totul scapă de sub control. Relația lor devine un dans periculos între dorință și emoții neexprimate. Deși la început par doar să se folosească unul de celălalt pentru plăcere, descoperim cât de mult se schimbă totul când sentimentele adevărate încep să iasă la suprafață.
Ce mi-a plăcut cel mai mult a fost chimica incredibilă dintre Josh și Jules. Dialogurile sunt spumoase, pline de umor și sarcasm, dar și de o vulnerabilitate ascunsă. Am simțit durerea, frica și nesiguranța lor. Ana Huang reușește să creeze personaje care par vii, autentice, cu defecte și temeri reale. Trecutul lui Jules m-a emoționat profund – mi-a fost imposibil să nu empatizez cu ea. Josh, care părea doar arogant și enervant, se dovedește a fi mult mai profund, protector și loial decât am crezut.
Relația lor nu este ușoară – este marcată de certuri, conflicte și momente de criză. Dar tocmai asta o face reală. Am simțit că asist la o poveste de dragoste care a fost construită în timp, cu răbdare și durere, nu doar cu pasiune. Finalul m-a făcut să zâmbesc cu inima plină și să-mi doresc să recitesc cartea.
Pentru mine, „Twisted Hate” nu este doar o poveste de dragoste cu scene fierbinți și dialoguri savuroase – este și despre vindecare, încredere, și acceptarea trecutului. Este despre cum două persoane care cred că sunt prea rănite ca să iubească, ajung să găsească exact acel tip de dragoste care le vindecă rănile.
Dacă îți plac poveștile cu enemies to lovers, cu replici tăioase, emoții intense și o doză generoasă de atracție, „Twisted Hate” este exact ce ai nevoie. Eu am iubit fiecare pagină.

„Twisted Hate” by Ana Huang is the kind of book that gives you chills from the very first page and doesn’t let you stop reading until you’ve devoured every word. It was an intense, sexy, funny, and deeply emotional read, with two characters who seem to hate each other but burn with desire for one another.
The story follows Josh Chen and Jules Ambrose, two characters we already know from the previous books in the „Twisted” series. Josh is Ava’s brother (the heroine from „Twisted Love”)—smart, confident, and fiercely protective of those he loves. He’s a medical resident with a sharp tongue and a quick wit. On the other hand, Jules is Ava’s best friend—an independent, ambitious woman who isn’t afraid to speak her mind and carries a heavy past. The hatred between them is palpable from the start, and every encounter is a battle of biting remarks and sharp glares.
But that hatred gradually morphs into an attraction that’s impossible to ignore. When the two strike a “enemies with benefits” deal, things spiral out of control. Their relationship becomes a dangerous dance between desire and unspoken emotions. While it initially seems they’re only using each other for pleasure, everything changes once real feelings start to surface.
What I loved most was the incredible chemistry between Josh and Jules. Their dialogues are witty, full of humor and sarcasm, but also tinged with hidden vulnerability. I could feel their pain, fear, and insecurity. Ana Huang does an amazing job of creating characters that feel real—flawed, layered, and deeply human. Jules’ backstory moved me deeply—it was impossible not to empathize with her. And Josh, who at first seemed arrogant and infuriating, turned out to be far more complex, protective, and loyal than I expected.
Their relationship is anything but easy—filled with fights, conflict, and emotional turbulence. But that’s exactly what makes it feel real. It felt like witnessing a love story built over time, with patience and pain, not just passion. The ending left me smiling with a full heart and an urge to reread the book.
For me, „Twisted Hate” isn’t just a steamy romance with sharp banter—it’s also about healing, trust, and accepting the past. It’s about how two people who believe they’re too broken to love find exactly the kind of love that begins to heal their wounds.
If you enjoy enemies-to-lovers stories filled with fiery banter, intense emotions, and sizzling attraction, „Twisted Hate” is exactly what you need. I loved every single page.
